XerisLaunch does not use HTTP cookies. Instead, we use browser localStorage to provide essential functionality. This policy explains what data is stored, why, and how you can manage it.
localStorage is a browser storage mechanism similar to cookies but with key differences: it is never automatically sent to our servers, it remains on your device only, it has no expiration date (unlike cookies), and it can be cleared through your browser settings. Under EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), localStorage is treated similarly to cookies and requires user consent for non-essential storage.
These items are necessary for the site to function and are used under the "strictly necessary" exemption.
| Key | Purpose | Data Stored | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
xeris_consent | Records your consent choice | "accepted" or "essential_only" | Until cleared |
These items save your work so you can return to it later. They are activated only after you accept our consent banner.
| Key | Purpose | Data Stored | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
xerislaunch_state | Saves your website builder progress | Template choice, token name/symbol, descriptions, colors, section toggles, logo data, AI copy results, font and theme settings | Until cleared or reset |
This storage contains only the content you enter into the builder. It does not contain your email, payment details, IP address, or any data that identifies you personally.
When you make a payment, Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and payment security. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy and are classified as strictly necessary for the payment transaction.
If you choose to add analytics (Google Analytics or Plausible) to your generated website, those services will use their own cookies and tracking on your deployed site. You are responsible for providing appropriate cookie consent on your own deployed websites. XerisLaunch does not control the cookies set by these third-party analytics services.
You can manage localStorage through your browser settings. In most browsers, go to Settings, then Privacy/Security, then Site Data or Clear Browsing Data, then select the XerisLaunch domain. Alternatively, you can use the "Reset All" button in the XerisLaunch app, which clears all stored data. You can also use your browser's developer tools (F12) to view and delete specific localStorage keys.
If you click "Reject Non-Essential" or "Essential Only" on our consent banner, we will not save your builder progress between sessions. You can still use the app normally within a single session, but your work will not persist when you close the browser. The consent choice itself is stored as strictly necessary.
XerisLaunch does not use any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics on the platform itself. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking technology on our own pages. The only analytics option available is for websites you build and deploy yourself.
We may update this policy if we change how we use browser storage. The "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
